November 30th, 2011Our Give Hope project is building momentum but often, after a few weeks of talking about something we get back into life and we forget that the people around us are actually getting sicker as we enjoy consistent improvements in our health and hope for the future.
We really do want to make sure that your loved ones are healthy and that families in need get help. The Give Hope Project cards do both.
Gift your loved ones with a card and when they come in for their checkup, they will gift the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper with some non-perishable food items. Everybody wins. . . .and we start to fill 2012 with hope and healing:)
Saving and Changing Lives — Give Hope 2011
October 31st, 2011We are excited to partner with the Salvation Army again this year by offering free exams and x-rays to anyone bringing in a toy or non-perishable food item(s) for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hamper.
Last year was really encouraging. We had to get a half tonne to get all the food over to the Salvation Army — and we’d love to fill another one this year. We will be handing out certificates over the next few weeks in the office and they will be good until the 20th of January, 2012.

July 26th, 2011Our kids competed in their first “organized” tri race this past weekend. Even though we don’t have them training for this sport, we live a super healthy active lifestyle and without even thinking about it our kids were passing kids with all the “gear and fancy equipment” BUT the most encouraging thing was our kids had smiles on their faces through the process — no tears, no stress, just out there competing! That was gratifying.

Amazing Social Networks Workshop

Saturday morning we had an incredible workshop with Keith Dorchst as he presented the Communication Cure. Tonight, at 6:30 to 8pm at the Mary Irwin Theatre, he is going to be going through the high points of what he talked about on Saturday. You won’t want to miss it. In fact, if you have something planned it will be worth canceling so you can come out to hear Keith.
This is life changing stuff.

This weekend I re-connected with an incredible guy, Mike Clancey. He’s a fitness trainer who worked at the YMCA, but in the last year has decided to go out on his own and is training people out of the EnergyPlex (on the corner of Harvey and McCurdy) in Kelowna.
He is probably the most practical and purposeful trainers I have ever met — and if you are looking for someone that will take your health and fitness goals seriously — and be 100% in your corner, Mike is your guy.
